The Divine Inception (Samvat 1905)
During the mid-19th century, severe drought and financial hardships troubled the agrarian devotees of Salangpur village. Darbar Wagha Khachar, an ardent disciple of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, prayed to Sadguru Gopalanand Swami for spiritual solace and divine protection for the village.
The Murti Pratistha by Gopalanand Swami
Sadguru Gopalanand Swami sculptured the sacred image of Lord Hanumanji and consecrated the deity on Ashwin Vad Pancham in Samvat 1905. During the Pran-Pratistha, Sadguru Gopalanand Swami touched the divine deity with a sacred staff (Chhadi), upon which the statue vibrated with divine celestial energy, awakening the living presence of Hanumanji to forever eliminate suffering.
Why 'Kashtabhanjan'?
'Kashta' translates to sorrows, anguish, mental illnesses, and spiritual afflictions. 'Bhanjan' means the destroyer or breaker. Devotees from every walk of life believe with unwavering faith that genuine prayers at the feet of Salangpur Hanumanji shatter all physical ailments, mental stress, fear of negative energies, and horoscope afflictions (such as Shani Dosh).
